5月3日 <English Patient>In love, there are no boundaries.
In memory, love lives forever.
![]() [Asked what he hates most]
Almásy: Ownership. I hate being owned. ------------------------------------------------
Katharine Clifton: Do you think you are the only one who feels anything?
------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------
Almásy: New lovers are nervous and tender, but smash everything. For the heart is an organ of fire.
---------------------------------------------
Almásy: Every night I cut out my heart. But in the morning it was full again.
--------------------------------------------- Hana: I'm not in love with him. I'm in love with ghosts... And so is he, he's in love with ghosts.
---------------------------------------------- Almásy: There is no God... but I hope someone looks after you.
Madox: Just in case you're interested, it's called the suprasternal notch. Come and visit us in Dorset when all this nonsense is over. [Heads away but turns back] Madox: You'll never come to Dorset. --------------------------------------------------
Almásy: What do you love?
Katharine Clifton: What do I love? Almásy: Say everything. Katharine Clifton: Water, with fish in it. Hedgehogs, I love hedgehogs. Marmite. Baths, but not with other people! Islands. I could go on all day. Almásy: Go on all day. Katharine Clifton: Your handwriting. Almásy: And what else? Katharine Clifton: A husband. Almásy: What do you hate most? Katharine Clifton: A lie. What do you hate most? Almásy: Ownership. Being owned. What you leave here you should forget me. [she adopts a look of disgust, pushing him away. She gets out of the tub, picks up her tattered dress and leaves] -------------------------------------------- Katharine Clifton: Will we be alright? ---------------------------------------------- Katharine Clifton: My darling. I'm waiting for you. How long is the day in the dark? Or a week? The fire is gone, and I'm horribly cold. I really should drag myself outside but then there'd be the sun. I'm afraid I waste the light on the paintings, not writing these words. We die. We die rich with lovers and tribes, tastes we have swallowed, bodies we've entered and swum up like rivers. Fears we've hidden in - like this wretched cave. I want all this marked on my body. Where the real countries are. Not boundaries drawn on mapswith the names of powerful men. I know you'll come carry me out to the Palace of Winds. That's what I've wanted: to walk in such a place with you. With friends, on an earth without maps. The lamp has gone out and I'm writing in the darkness. Almásy: You're wearing the thimble. ------------------------------------------- Katharine Clifton: Promise me you'll come back for me.

Celine: Memories are wonderful things, if you don't have to deal with the past. ------------------------------ Jesse: Life's hard. It's supposed to be. If we didn't suffer, we'd never learn anything. -------------------------------------- Celine: You can never replace anyone because everyone is made up of such beautiful specific details. ------------------------------------- Celine: [Celine's song] Let me sing you a waltz / Out of nowhere, out of my thoughts / Let me sing you a waltz / About this one night stand / You were, for me, that night / Everything I always dreamt of in life / But now you're gone / You are far gone / All the way to your island of rain / It was for you just a one night thing / But you were much more to me, just so you know / I don't care what they say / I know what you meant for me that day / I just want another try, I just want another night / Even if it doesn't seem quite right / You meant for me much more than anyone I've met before / One single night with you, little Jesse, is worth a thousand with anybody / I have no bitterness, my sweet / I'll never forget this one night thing / Even tomorrow in other arms, my heart will stay yours until I die / Let me sing you a waltz / Out of nowhere, out of my blues / Let me sing you a waltz / About this lovely one night stand 4月8日 The Mexican2月8日 The Wisdom of Crocodiles
Steven Grlscz: When I was a boy, I went into the forest and climbed to the top of the tallest tree. Near the top, I slipped, and managed to just grab a branch. It was a long drop. I hung there until the blood in my head pounded in my ears. I can't remember much, but I remember the fear of falling. ---------------------- Steven Grlscz: [to Anna] Who is this that comes like a pillar of the smoke out of the wilderness? Perfumed with myrrh and frankincense. The joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of a cunning craftsman. You read. Steven Grlscz: Sorry? Oh yes. Steven Grlscz: The line that separates good and evil cuts through every human heart. And who is willing to destroy a piece of their own heart? Steven Grlscz: When I was a boy I fell out of a tree but I managed just to grab a branch. I hung there for a long time, terrified. The silence and the pain in my arms. And the pounding in my ears. And then I fell. I don't remember what happened when I hit the ground. All I can remember now is the agony of holding on. And the wonderful feeling, the wonderful of letting go.
1月30日 Leon: The Professional (Superbit) (1994)
Mathilda: Leon, I think I'm falling in love with you. It's the first time for me, you know? ------------------------------ Léon: And stop saying "okay" all the time. Okay? ------------------------------- Mathilda: I don't give a shit about sleeping, Leon. I want love, or death. That's it. ------------------------------- Mathilda: How are we getting out of here now? ------------------------------- Mathilda: I think we'll be ok here, Leon.
